Cook: 10 min at 450 deg. F Cook: 35 to 45 min at 350 deg. F Yield: 1 9-inch pie
Make 2 pie crusts (bottom and top)
Peal, core, and thinly slice apples.
Combine the dry ingredients and coat apples
Tart apples reqire more sugar. Juicy apples require more starch.
Optional, add lemon juice
Place apples in layers in the pie crust (level with the top). Dot with butter.
Cover pie with a pricked pie crust. Brush top with butter or milk.
Bake 10 min at 450 deg F, then 35 to 45 min at 350 deg F
