Source: I don't fry onions anymore! Few people know this trick! Delicious, just like in a restaurant.
Oven: 390 deg. for 20 min
Cut off the top and peel. Trim the bottom, but don't cut off the root.
Soak onions in ice water before cutting.
Put onion on a jar lid. Cut down to edge of lid. 16'ths
Soak onion in ice water for 10 to 15 min
Put onions in abowl or rye flour, and stuff the rye flour between the slices
In a bowl, 2 eggs and salt. Scramble.
Spoon egg into the onions.
Combine almond flour, parmesan cheese, ginger, paprika and basil.
Stuff the mixture into the onion.
Bake for 20 min in 390 deg. oven (on a paper lined cookie sheet)
